Sanganeri Resist Block Print Cotton Fabric by the Metre

A dense, richly detailed geometric print in teal, navy and white. Star and medallion forms interlock across the full width of the cloth — the kind of pattern that reveals more the longer you look at it. Strong enough to hold its own as a statement garment; equally good cut small for patchwork.

Hand block printed in Jaipur, Rajasthan using a resist-print technique — a process where areas of the cloth are blocked from the dye to create the white resist pattern within the design. The dense geometric star-and-medallion pattern draws on a long tradition of architectural motif work in Rajasthani block printing. Each colour is applied separately using hand-carved wooden blocks. Minor variations in print registration are part of the hand-made process.

Machine wash at 30°. Some colour release on first wash is normal — it settles. Pre-wash before sewing if you prefer.
