Powder Blue Floral Buta Block Print Cotton

Neat floral buta motifs in teal and soft sage on a fresh powder blue ground — each flower head surrounded by reaching leaves, well-spaced and cleanly printed. A cool, calm print that's easy to live with and pairs well with plains. Particularly good where you need a small-scale pattern that doesn't overpower.

Hand block printed in Sanganer, Rajasthan using a technique with roots going back over 400 years. Sanganeri printing is recognised by its fine, detailed floral and botanical motifs — butis (small scattered motifs), butas (larger individual motifs), jaal (all-over floral nets), and bel (trailing vine borders) — applied to a light or white base cloth. Each colour is printed separately using hand-carved wooden blocks. The result is a delicate, intricate print that carries the subtle marks of its maker.
