White Ground Teal & Grey Floral Vine Block Print Cotton

An elegant, all over trailing floral vine on a clean white ground — teal, pale blue and warm grey flowers, buds and leaves wind across the cloth in a loose, naturalistic pattern. Hand block printed in Sanganer, Rajasthan using a technique with roots going back over 400 years. Sanganeri printing is recognised by its fine, detailed floral and botanical motifs — butis (small scattered motifs), butas (larger individual motifs), jaal (all-over floral nets), and bel (trailing vine borders) — applied to a light or white base cloth. Each colour is printed separately using hand-carved wooden blocks. The result is a delicate, intricate print that carries the subtle marks of its maker.
